HOPE RISES!!


HOPE RISES!!


When the birds don’t sing the morning song
When the colour of sunrise is not vermilion
When the green of the grass loses its tinge
When the evil indulge in their own morbid binge
Hope rises!!


When the rain doesn’t drench you anymore
When the sunshine is bereaved of its radiance galore
When the blue of the sky appears a shade impure
When the intrigue of a ravine ceases to lure
Hope rises!!


When mornings to evenings is a lifeless tourney
When life becomes a stale, repetitive journey
When the circle of life becomes an oblong
When the desire to persist is not so strong
Hope rises!!


When you can only laugh but can never smile
When you have only slept and not relaxed for a while
When you have not danced blithely in the rain
When you have not fallen in love again
Hope rises!!

    A nice poem indeed...Pardon me for pointing this out ,but attempts to make the poem rhyme too much deprives it of its simplicity and natural flow...(Don't mind ..specially "tourney":) ..like some Cricket or Baddy tourney)...Pardon again for the audacity

      Hi dolly!!
      Writing what u felt after reading this is no audacity at all. this is a very valid point. i also dont bother too much into rhmyes, but here, when i started writing this poem the first few lines started with a rhyme. So i thought i might as well continue it.
      'Tourney', BTW, has been used here not as a noun but as a verb, denoting struggle. Here is what Thesaurus says,

      "Verb:tourney - engage in a tourney
      fight, struggle, contend - be engaged in a fight; carry on a fight;"

      Please do keep in touch and continue being 'critically' analytic. Thanks.
